I decided to get a quote from Dale at Smart Roofing because his uncle installed a high quality roof for my family many years ago. Of the three quotes I received, I decided to have Smart Roofing replace my shingles since Dale was the only contractor who took the time to personally inspect my roof and attic. Dale discovered problems with my roof that I was unaware of. Although he was slightly more expensive, I felt the additional cost was justified since Dale was very knowledgeable about shingle replacement, thoroughly explaining the methods he uses and why, he found the problems and offered cost effective solutions for the problems I was unaware of. Dale recommended that I install Certainteed Northgate class 4 shingles which qualifies me for a $90.00 yearly deduction in the cost of my homeowner's insurance. Dale and his crew arrived on time. He took the time to answer my questions during the removable and installation process. Dale and his crew completed my house and shed roof replacement in one day. His crew did an excellent job cleaning up. I highly recommend Dale and his company.

I couldn't be more pleased with the service from Dale Smart. I called him bcs we developed a leak in the roof due to ice damning in this WI weather. He responded to my call same day, then came out in the evening to assess situation and had advice for us on how to handle the problem. Dale was kind and extremely patient with our concern, giving us time to answer all of our questions. He then came out the next day with his crew to remove snow off the roof, giving the problem area special attention. He will be back once snow is gone to fix the leak. I definitely recommend Smart Roofing.My only suggestion is to make sure to get whatever receipts and/or paperwork you need before they leave. I really needed an invoice for my home owners insurance, which I was assured I would be emailed. However, I have still not received one after a couple weeks, even after emailing a reminder about it. Luckily was able to work it out with insurance to prove work was completed. It worked out in the end so I don't hold it against them. I know they are crazy busy!

Although the other roofing contractors were slightly less expensive, we were willing to pay extra because Dale Smart would work with his customers. It was definitely worth the investment. We had many shingles throughout the roof that had blown off during high winds. Dale came out to inspect and give an estimate on the roof. Following the inspection, he offered to caulk all the exposed nail holes in the cold of winter without charge although we didn't sign a contract with him yet. That is customer service! In addition, he worked with our insurance to try to get the best reimbursement. Most importantly, Dale worked tirelessly with his crew on the job throughout the entire roof replacement to get the job done on time. Dale and his crew are so incredibly hardworking that they worked on the weekend and in unexpected rain. During the entire process, Dale was in constant communication with us, was very professional, came everyday on time, and worked with us to make everything right. At the end of the job, Dale even took the time to seal some leaky gutters, caulked exposed areas of wood on the soffit, and adjusted a few gutters at no additional cost. Our new roof looks amazing and we highly recommend Smart Roofing!

Dale Jr. came out right away to help us after we found water leaking into our kitchen from the roof. Found out it was the bracket holding the telephone and electric wires pulling out from the roof and the hole where the mount goes was the little hole where water was leaking in after a storm. He pounded it back in and caulked it up for us and surveyed our entire roof and gave us estimates and valuable information on what we can do going forward to repair and get a new roof in the future. He was incredibly professional, fast, efficient, kind and fun to work with and will definitely be working with him and his company with all of our roofing needs in the future!

Above all expectations. Great company to deal with. Very quick to respond - like same day. A fair market quote provided, with explanations of potentail add-ons as the old roof was to be torn off, and could be anticipating damage since we had leakage. Were put on the schedule for work to be completed within 6 weeks of order. They came 5 days later as an opening was available. A fantastic, hard working, polite and respectful crew, got everything completed and cleaned up in 2 and a half days. Smart roofing just completed two jobs on my commercial properties. They installed asphalt roof on apartment and did a rubber roofrepair on the commercial property. Dale and crew are awesome. They fixed about forty years of problems. I have a shallow pitched roof and it had very poor ventilation, to the point there was a haze in the attic. Now the attic is dry and breathing great. Past owners must have had issues but the contractor they hired didn’t fix a thing, they only got new shingles. I highly recommend Smart roofing. Great price, excellent workmanship, on time and clean.

I have used Smart Roofing for roof replacement and attic insulation. Work was done quickly and with great care. These are people who care about their customers and will go out of their way to answer all questions before they start a job. Never a hard sell! I called last winter with concerns about ice buildup on the roof. Dale came over within the hour. He cheerfully inspected the entire roof and removed some chunks of ice from the gutter. Temp was around 10°.

i would recommend Smart Roofers to anyone looking to replace their roof and/or gutters. They are very reasonable and efficient. The two day project included 2 layer removal of the roof on both house and detached garage, removal of old gutters and replacement of new roof and gutters on both. The employees were very polite and professional. They were very efficient in cleaning and removing any debris that was involved with their work on the property. I highly recommend them!!!

I am a new homeowner and just found out there was a leak in my roof. Called Dale Jr., he came out and did a thorough inspection and gave me a great quote. He is professional and beyond personable. He communicated throughout the whole process and made everything that much easier for a first time home owner. Once I settled on a shingle color, he told me the approximate time they were going to start and I was shocked as to how quick they are compared to other estimates. He came over a day early, finished my garage and then finished my house the day after. They did an amazing job and the roof looks amazing. He will work with you to make sure that all little details (chimney knockdown, vent removal/installations, gutter pitch) are perfect and what you want! He was on the job each day and his crew was great too! They did a great job cleaning up the site completely. I would highly recommend you give Smart Roofing a call for your roofing needs, you wont be disappointed! Called at 3pm to schedule someone to come out to do a minor roof repair. Dale came out on his way home to do the repair the same day. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of roofing or repairs. Quality people, and insanely fast response time.

I can’t say enough about the amazing experience I had working with Smart Roofing. I had Dale look at my roof for a small leak in February, and by the end of March I had a whole new roof. Smart Roofing was professional, timely, and honest when it came to pricing and did a phenomenal job. Years ago I had Smart give me a quote for a metal roof on our previous residence. Dale was not quick to sell me anything and gave me an honest time frame for the life of that existing roof. I had him come back a couple months later to patch some flashing- quick, inexpensive, and fixed the minor leaking problem we had.Fast forward to our new house; we had some issues with our deck roof and the garage was in need of a new roof. I was happy enough with Smart to call them before anyone else.Dale ran through some options with us and we opted for metal on the deck and garage. Once work started, everything was finished within a couple of days. Deck roof originally had no gutters, and had been sagging in one spot, causing water to pool up and rot the board underneath. Now we have functioning gutters, rotted decking is replaced, and Dale was even able to replace a bowed support beam at the front of the deck, cutting it to match the style of the old one. Garage roof and gutters no problem! And everything looks great!Smart is a small, friendly, diligent team of roofers and I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for roofing repair/installation, and especially for metal roofing.

Dale was extremely responsive and was able to service my roof the same day I called him. We had some damage from the ice and they were able to work quickly to repair it. They were very reasonably priced and the work is high quality. Dale was also able to help give advice on a separate roofing issue I had. I would use them again in the future and would recommend to anyone who needs roof repair or replacement.

Dale was very helpful in removing an ice dam on our roof and doing some repairs. Pricing was great and he sent photos of the work done and explained everything so I felt confident the job was done to a high standard.
