My real name is Lor, and I cannot stress enough how extremely satisfied I am with the folks at Smart Roofing. About a week ago (4/06/2025), my roof sustained a noticeable leak from all the rain. I did my due diligence in searching for a reputable roofing company. I ultimately settled on Smart Roofing, and I am glad I did. As soon as I filled out their online contact form, Joey and Dale Jr showed up the next day to inspect my roof. They then gave me a very reasonable quote after they informed me of all the necessary repairs. Upon accepting their quote, I was informed that they would be able to work on my roof the upcoming Saturday (4/12/2025). Lo and behold, Dale Smart Sr, Dale Jr, Joey, and the rest of the crew showed up on Saturday morning and finished the job by 5 PM; all while operating on the good faith that I will pay them. THEY DIDN'T EVEN NEED A SECURITY DEPOSIT. This is the work that they did: replaced some insulation/roof decking, reinforced some rafters, laid new shingles, installed new fascia, and correctly installed the apron on the rain gutter that is attached to my garage. They were all professional in their conduct, meticulous in their work, and conscientious enough to avoid damaging the landscaping. Now I have a new roof that will last me at least 20 years (hoping for 50 years). Needless to say I believe they have a 5-star aggregate score for a reason. I intend on encouraging everyone I know to go through Smart Roofing for their roofing needs.

We had an excellent experience with Dale from Smart Roofing. Came out to the house and spent a lot of time measuring and listening to our concerns. Provided a prompt proposal which was more competitive with better materials than the competitors proposals. In addition to the roof and gutters, we wanted a solar tube, and needed extensive work on a sunroom. Unexpected warm days in January and the guys came out and completed all the work. Dale was there every day with the guys, they worked efficiently, and cleaned everything up. Highly recommend.

We had an exceptional experience with Smart Roofing. We needed our roof and gutters replaced sooner rather than later due to a leak that had developed. We were hoping to hire a local contractor. Dale was quick to respond (unlike 3 other contractors I had called), very professional and organized. He explained the process then answered all my questions and concerns. There was no lengthy sales pitch. He was honest and straightforward with his quote. Dale and his team worked quickly, efficiently and very hard. Smart roofing has quality products and workmanship, great communication, good price and meticulous clean-up. I was very impressed, as were several neighbors who contacted me to get their name.It was very apparent that Dale's dedication to customer satisfaction & workmanship was a priority, which is hard to find.We love our new roof! We had Smart Roofing replace the roofing shingles on our home due to hail damage. We really wanted to work with a local contractor with a good reputation.We were very pleased with Smart Roofing - Dale and Joe came to inspect and verify the damage, and then Dale came back when the insurance adjuster was here to point out all that needed to be done. We worked directly with Dale to define what we wanted done and that it was important to us to be careful not to damage our landscaping and patios and have a thorough cleanup when they were done.We were very satisfied with their work - they had an efficient crew and supervision on site for the entire job. Complete work took only one and one half days - including installation of new gutter guards to replace original hail damaged ones. Cleanup was great with no damage to landscaping.Smart Roofing were efficient in working with our insurance company.We would definitely recommend Smart Roofing to anyone who needs a new roofing system. Excellent company to work with.

Dale and his team worked hard to get my roof done on time and as promised. His willingness to "get the job done" instead of endless talk was a great asset. The fact that the owner of the business was on-site and working while the roof work was being done is a testament to the seriousness with which Dale takes his profession. My neighborhood was hit by a storm and I've seen many roofs being replaced over the months since. Most of the companies seem to have an owner/marketing team and then a separate crew to do the actual work. By the time the job is being worked, the owners are elsewhere and nowhere to be seen. Not the case with Smart Roofing.For my project, Dale came in part of the way through dealing with the insurance company. He did a great job helping me understand the process and the "industry" in a way that made sense (relative to the nonsensical nature of the insurance industry) and guiding my through the "last half" of the process.Taking into account the frenetic nature of the roofing trade, Dale at Smart Roofing did a good job communicating and answering questions with patience and diligence. His "hands-on" approach means he has a lot going on at any given time but somehow, he makes everything work.It seems clear to me why this company has survived through three generations in business in an industry where the average lifespan is only a few years. I would recommend Smart Roofing.

The entire experience with Dale and his team was very professional. In a little over a day, they replaced our roof and you would never know they were there. Price was fair, in the middle of 3 estimates we got. I'd strongly recommend them!

Dale, Joey and the crew are amazing! We have a cape cod with a very steep roof and a total of 5 dormers. We have a 2 car attached garage and a single car garage along with a yanky chimney that was a plain to work with. The guys were total professionals and spent a lot of time setting up ( protecting house and shrubs) and cleaning up after themselves! No huge dumpster to deal with as they had machinery to grind up and recycle old shingles. Less than 2 and a half days and we had a beautiful new roof!

I hired Smart Roofing to roof my house due to hail damage. Dale was very professional and explained everything that his company was going to do. They came in a timely fashion due to how busy they were and replaced my roof and gutters. Couldn't be more satisfied with the job they did and how quickly it was done. My first contact with Dale Smart came about a year and a half before I thought I needed a roof. I had a random roof leak that would come and go that was driving me nuts for quite a few years. I randomly called (Smart Roofing) to see if they had any ideas on how I might find this leak. To my surprise, Dale showed up at my house a few hours later. My initial thought was that he was going to try and sell me a roof, but he didn’t. He actually found what we thought was causing the leak and did a small repair without asking for any money. The roof didn’t leak for about 1 1/2 years, when a new leak appeared out of nowhere. Once again I called Smart roofing. They got back to me promptly even when they were very swamped with other roofing jobs. Of the 3 contractors I called they had the most reasonable price. Then to make things better they got me in about a month sooner than I had originally planned. The crew came in and did the job from start to finish in 1 day including a very thorough clean up. I would highly recommend this company for your roofing needs.

Only wish there were more stars to give them. These people know what they are doing. I have used them four times now.Most recently, we had a leak in our three-seasons room. The original owner that we bought the house from told us it leaked since day one, years before. It took Dale less than five minutes on the roof to identify that the wrong skylights had been used and they were also installed incorrectly. They ordered the correct skylights and put on a new membrane roof. The room is now dry.They were timely, friendly and left the site neat and clean. All at a very fair price. They are the only people that I will ever leave on my roof.Thank you Smart Roofing!

Very happy with the services from Smart Roofing! Both Tom and Dale were great to work with from start to finish. My older home had some challenges and Dale came onsite and spent an hour and a half working through a plan to address my needs and explained options along the way ( I had other estimates and nobody else focused on getting to the bottom of the problem). Dale was very patient and addressed any questions or concerns I had. Dale and his team stayed late to get the roof done and cleaned up everything as well. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with Dale and his team again as honesty and integrity seem to be at the core of what they do. Thank you!

Smart roofing was referred to us from a couple of different neighbors just in the knick of time.We were ready to go with a competitor and started to question their unprofessional and scam like ways.Dale and his team came to the rescue and had the entire 47 years (2 layers) of roofing removed and replaced in one day, as well as the old and new gutters, too.Clean up was perfect.I could not imagine any other company to recommend more highly.

I decided to get a quote from Dale at Smart Roofing because his uncle installed a high quality roof for my family many years ago. Of the three quotes I received, I decided to have Smart Roofing replace my shingles since Dale was the only contractor who took the time to personally inspect my roof and attic. Dale discovered problems with my roof that I was unaware of. Although he was slightly more expensive, I felt the additional cost was justified since Dale was very knowledgeable about shingle replacement, thoroughly explaining the methods he uses and why, he found the problems and offered cost effective solutions for the problems I was unaware of. Dale recommended that I install Certainteed Northgate class 4 shingles which qualifies me for a $90.00 yearly deduction in the cost of my homeowner's insurance. Dale and his crew arrived on time. He took the time to answer my questions during the removable and installation process. Dale and his crew completed my house and shed roof replacement in one day. His crew did an excellent job cleaning up. I highly recommend Dale and his company.

My experience with Smart Roofing was fantastic. From the salesman, Tom that spent a lot of time with me, to the owner Dale, who's professionalism and attention to detail was amazing. Of course not to forget the crew that was incredible at their craft. Our property is a side-by-side, so essentially it was 2 roofs... and it really only took a day to do.The ENTIRE experience was wonderful, the price was right, and I would highly recommend them.

Smart roofing did our roof in 2003. We had a great experience then. Fast forward to 2024. We had to have some gutter repair work done. The response was quick and courteous. The repair was done superbly. Dale even inspected the roof from 2003 and tighten up some screws left by an old Direct TV dish. I highly recommend this company!! Superior service.

We had storm damage due to snow. These guys were quick to answer during a busy time. Not only were they quick and responsive they were so knowledgeable in their craft. Consulted us with the work that needed to be done and worked with our insurance company to get the money we needed to make all the repairs. They were very professional to work with day of and were efficient when getting the job done. It’s good to know there are honest crafts and tradesmen out there who take pride in their work. I’d recommend working with them to anyone.

I couldn't be more pleased with the service from Dale Smart. I called him bcs we developed a leak in the roof due to ice damning in this WI weather. He responded to my call same day, then came out in the evening to assess situation and had advice for us on how to handle the problem. Dale was kind and extremely patient with our concern, giving us time to answer all of our questions. He then came out the next day with his crew to remove snow off the roof, giving the problem area special attention. He will be back once snow is gone to fix the leak. We could not be more pleased with the care and expertise with which he handled the problem.

Recently had a roof replacement. Dale and his team were great! He is friendly, knowledgeable, and explained the entire process. Not pushy at all and price was very reasonable. The proposal was very thorough and the follow through was beyond expectation. Great communication and crew supervision and thus, the crew was prompt, courteous and efficient. Dale solved a drainage issue by extending the second floor downspout into the gutter.They also installed Smart Guard gutter covers to keep drainage clean and free.From over all value to final cleanup every aspect of this hire was perfect!

We are extremely pleased with the Smart Roofing Company. Tom and Dale were professional, punctual, communicative, highly skilled and attentive to detail. Dale and his team tore off two layers of shingles and installed a new roof including a special sheet to prevent water damage due to ice build up. They installed roof vents, new gutters, gutter guards and chimney flashing.They did a great job color coordinating trim and flashing. Workmanship was excellent.They came the day before installation to stage their equipment so they could complete our project in one day including clean up.Thank you Tom, Dale and Installers. Dale and his crew did an excellent job in replacing our roof. Affordable, very efficient and conscientious about clean up. It was done in one day and the roof looks fabulous. I definitely recommend Smart Roofing.My only suggestion is to make sure to get whatever receipts and/or paperwork you need before they leave. I really needed an invoice for my home owners insurance, which I was assured I would be emailed. However, I have still not received one after a couple weeks, even after emailing a reminder about it. Luckily was able to work it out with insurance to prove work was completed. It worked out in the end so I don't hold it against them. I know they are crazy busy!

Installed a new roof and gutters with guards during this summer with the SmartRoofing.After checking multiple quotes for this job I’m sure that I paid a reasonable price for a great service!I can certainly note that:1. All my questions before, during and after the job were answered2. The installation started in less then a month after we agreed to the job and it was completed in 3 days as it was promised3. Above and beyond! Highly recommend. I could not be more pleased with the work the Smart Roofing team did in replacing the roof and installing leaf guards on my Milwaukee bungalow! It wasn’t an easy job, but they did a wonderful job and it looks great! The owner Dale was easy to work, kept me informed and did not cut corners. Cleanup was perfect. Smart Roofing helped me out with my roof and gutters. They were friendly, punctual, competent, and driven.I was so pleased with their progress that I decided to make them all cheesy potato soup for lunch. Smart Roofing is the best company you can find in regards to roofing ! They fixed my attic ventilation issue. I've met with numerous contractors before them and they only wanted to sell unnecessary things and take all your savings! Dale is very honest, knowledgeable and caring to his customers. He surveyed, analyzed and explained the issue profoundly. He told me the options but directed me to the most cost effective way to solve the problem without breaking the bank. Communication and scheduling with them was very easy. Dale even did an extra mile of of going to a paint store to get me my exterior paint made without charging me. You will not get this treatment from any other contractor i bet you ! His group worked as team and finished the job in no time. I highly recommend Smart Roofing !!! Although the other roofing contractors were slightly less expensive, we were willing to pay extra because Dale Smart would work with his customers. It was definitely worth the investment. We had many shingles throughout the roof that had blown off during high winds. Dale came out to inspect and give an estimate on the roof. Following the inspection, he offered to caulk all the exposed nail holes in the cold of winter without charge although we didn't sign a contract with him yet. That is customer service! In addition, he worked with our insurance to try to get the best reimbursement. Most importantly, Dale worked tirelessly with his crew on the job throughout the entire roof replacement to get the job done on time. Dale and his crew are so incredibly hardworking that they worked on the weekend and in unexpected rain. During the entire process, Dale was in constant communication with us, was very professional, came everyday on time, and worked with us to make everything right. At the end of the job, Dale even took the time to seal some leaky gutters, caulked exposed areas of wood on the soffit, and adjusted a few gutters at no additional cost. Our new roof looks amazing and we highly recommend Smart Roofing!

We had Smart Guard gutter covers installed in fall to combat the leaves from 2 large maple trees in our yard. No more gutter cleaning for me. We used them after having my mother -in-laws roof done. Fast turn around and done in less than 2hrs. Dale and his crew were very professional. Thanks.

Smart roofing inspected our roof 5 years ago after we had a leak. They patched it up for a minimal charge and we haven't had issues since.They made another recent visit to patch us up because of wind damage. They will be replacing the roof next spring.They treated us very well and are pleasant to work with.

Called for roof repair and Dale was out the next morning. Dale assessed the problem and repaired it prior to any explanation of what the issue was. Afterwards Dale explained the issue and resolution and told me that there would be no payment needed for this repair. I expressed my gratitude for the kindness, knowledge and quick response to my situation.I highly recommend Dale and Smart Roofing.

It is nice to call a company and they send one of their employees rather then a subcontractor.I was considering a metal roof in the future or in lieu of repairing my aphalt roof after learning some of the downsides from Dale I will be buying a Asphalt Roof when I need to. Dale to his credit rather then trying to up sell me on a roof now, convinced me to repair this one and get a couple more years from it. He gave me a great price on the repairs much less (1/5) then another roofers quote. Highly recommend Smart Roofing

Dale and his crew are incredibly responsive. We had a single raised shingle from a roof installed in 2001, and they responded immediately to address that issue and as well as another minor problem they noticed. I am totally pleased with their work and I will definitely contact Smart Roofing when I need a new roof.

What we got was nothing less than superior professional service. Dale and staff were challenged from start to finish and did an exemplary job. I think they planned on 2 days but stayed for 3 to get the job done right. They may be busy but they're worth the wait.

We were relieved when their quote came in at a very fair price. Dale came out to inspect the job and further advise on next steps, and we were so impressed with him. He was personally present for all parts of the job, attentive and communicative and went above and beyond what we expected. Working with Smart Roofing was a great experience from start to finish. Having initially solicited site visits and estimates from several different companies, we ultimately went with Smart Roofing based on the favorable price(although not the very cheapest), quality of inspection thoroughness and knowledge, local history, follow-up through the estimate process, and trust they built with us on the quality and reputation they would bring to our project. We were not disappointed with our decision, and both Tom and Dale impressed us at every turn.All of our questions prior to accepting the estimate were answered thoroughly and their advice on options for the scope of work were honest and clear. The work itself actually started earlier than initially estimated, and everyone working on site appeared very competent, paying attention to the quality of work as well as the impact on the rest of the house and yard.We were very happy with the professionalism of the companies representatives, the quality of work, and most importantly, the end result. I would definitely recommend others to use Smart Roofing & Sheet Metal.

I was very happy with Dale not only did he answer his phone (no answering services or machines) he squeezed me in his busy schedule. He help fix my leeking roof in my kitchen. My daughter is also here when Dale came to assess the problem at my home and she was so impressed with his service she also wrote a review. Please read my daughter's comments and review. Dale Jr. came out right away to help us after we found water leaking into our kitchen from the roof. Found out it was the bracket holding the telephone and electric wires pulling out from the roof and the hole where the mount goes was the little hole where water was leaking in after a storm. He pounded it back in and caulked it up for us and surveyed our entire roof and gave us estimates and valuable information on what we can do going forward to repair and get a new roof in the future. He was incredibly professional, fast, efficient, kind and fun to work with and will definitely be working with him and his company with all of our roofing needs in the future!

Our friend recommended Smart Roofing and Dale did an excellent job for us. He responded quickly to a wind damage and repaired our roof/ridge the next day. He also checked other areas to make sure that there is no blind spot left. The work is efficient, high quality, and detail oriented. We will definitely use Smart Roofing again.

Above all expectations. Great company to deal with. Very quick to respond - like same day. A fair market quote provided, with explanations of potentail add-ons as the old roof was to be torn off, and could be anticipating damage since we had leakage. Were put on the schedule for work to be completed within 6 weeks of order. They came 5 days later as an opening was available. A fantastic, hard working, polite and respectful crew, got everything completed and cleaned up in 2 and a half days. And that included a severe rain/hail storm, but everything was secured and nothing damaged. Dale Jr you are the best and you show how much you care for your working crew. Tom did a great job presenting everything to us, and follow up. You should be proud of your family company. We'll be in touch.

We had a sewer vent pipe seal leak during recent rain storms. Tried several companies around here and I guess the job was too small as I did not get one single return call. I texted Smart Roofing late morning today , and they showed up at 1:00 pm. Inspected the vent and put a new seal on it.
