I have used Smart Roofing for roof replacement and attic insulation. Work was done quickly and with great care. These are people who care about their customers and will go out of their way to answer all questions before they start a job. Never a hard sell! I called last winter with concerns about ice buildup on the roof. Dale came over within the hour. He cheerfully inspected the entire roof and removed some chunks of ice from the gutter. Temp was around 10°.

i would recommend Smart Roofers to anyone looking to replace their roof and/or gutters. They are very reasonable and efficient. The two day project included 2 layer removal of the roof on both house and detached garage, removal of old gutters and replacement of new roof and gutters on both. The employees were very polite and professional. They were very efficient in cleaning and removing any debris that was involved with their work on the property. I highly recommend them!!!

I am a new homeowner and just found out there was a leak in my roof. Called Dale Jr., he came out and did a thorough inspection and gave me a great quote. He is professional and beyond personable. He communicated throughout the whole process and made everything that much easier for a first time home owner. Once I settled on a shingle color, he told me the approximate time they were going to start and I was shocked as to how quick they are compared to other estimates. He came over a day early, finished my garage and then finished my house the day after. They did an amazing job and the roof looks amazing. He will work with you to make sure that all little details (chimney knockdown, vent removal/installations, gutter pitch) are perfect and what you want! He was on the job each day and his crew was great too! They did a great job cleaning up the site completely. I would highly recommend you give Smart Roofing a call for your roofing needs, you wont be disappointed! I called Smart Roofing & Sheet Metal Company after experiencing heavy storms/rain with water leaking through our roof. Dale Jr. came out to inspect our roof the next day and he returned later that same day and sealed the shingles and chimney. He is very knowledgeable, timely, gave great advice, and was honest in his assessment of our situation. I plan to use him in the future when we replace our entire roof. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing roofing work.

Years ago I had Smart give me a quote for a metal roof on our previous residence. Dale was not quick to sell me anything and gave me an honest time frame for the life of that existing roof. I had him come back a couple months later to patch some flashing- quick, inexpensive, and fixed the minor leaking problem we had.Fast forward to our new house; we had some issues with our deck roof and the garage was in need of a new roof. I was happy enough with Smart to call them before anyone else.Dale ran through some options with us and we opted for metal on the deck and garage. Once work started, everything was finished within a couple of days. Deck roof originally had no gutters, and had been sagging in one spot, causing water to pool up and rot the board underneath. Now we have functioning gutters, rotted decking is replaced, and Dale was even able to replace a bowed support beam at the front of the deck, cutting it to match the style of the old one. Garage roof and gutters no problem! And everything looks great!Smart is a small, friendly, diligent team of roofers and I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for roofing repair/installation, and especially for metal roofing.

Dale was extremely responsive and was able to service my roof the same day I called him. We had some damage from the ice and they were able to work quickly to repair it. They were very reasonably priced and the work is high quality. Dale was also able to help give advice on a separate roofing issue I had. Had a 2nd story gutter separating from the house due to ice buildup. Texted Dale on a Tuesday, he got back to me right away and came out with Santiago the next day to look at the gutter. They were able to come out on Thursday to do the actual repair which involved removing the gutter and addressing some problematic fascia underneath. Dale was a straight shooter, I was super happy with his responsiveness and his willingness to come out so quickly, which I realize may not always be possible, depending on the season. Also sent me photos of the work before and after so I had a chance to see what was done more clearly.

We had our roof replaced by Smart Roofing in 2003. They did great work for an excellent price! Quality materials were used and after they were done the clean up was immaculate. We haven’t had any problems with our roof until this winter(2020 /2021, of course). We have an ice dam issue that sprang up out of no where. We texted Dale Smart, Jr. and he was here checking out our roof and scraping off snow and ice within just a few hours. An almost 20 year old roof and they came out no questions asked. We can’t say enough good things about Smart Roofing and we will always use them and recommend them!

Dale was referred to me (by a chimney repairman that I had used in the past) to fix a large chimney flashing that was improperly installed during a roof replacement by another local company, Ridge Top Exteriors. I wish I had gotten the referral prior to the whole roof replacement, because the difference was night and day.Dale was very responsive and went out of his way to make sure that our roof was taken care of and no longer leaking before the winter months hit. The work was performed with a high degree of quality, and he thoroughly explained everything that needed to be done and why. Pricing was fair and workmanship was top-notch. Highly recommended.

Last fall I needed to start the process of getting a new roof so I drove around my neighborhood scouting out what color I should consider. I came upon a house that was nearly identical to mine and I loved the roof they had on it. I stopped and asked the homeowner who did her roof and what brand/color it was. She referred me to Dale at Smart Roofing, noting she was very happy with his work. I called him and he was very responsive, promptly coming over to give me an estimate. I liked Dale immediately. He was very informative, very open and it was clear he valued his work and his workmen. We had several conversations about the roof and what it needed. I intended to get the recommended three estimates, but I was so confident in Dale’s estimate, had already seen his work product and just really felt he was trustworthy I did not do so. I was confident in both Dale’s honestly and integrity and felt his estimate was both competitive and fair. Given it was fall, we decided to schedule the re-roofing for spring. True to his word, Dale called me in March and set up a time to start the job. I did not need to call him or chase him down as I have with other contractors I have worked with. His crew started a few days later and they completed the project in two days. They cleaned up and it was if they had never been there, except I had a lovely new roof. I know if I have a problem down the road, Dale will stop by to take care of it. I really enjoyed working with Dale. It would be nice if all contractors operated as he does. If you choose to work with Smart Roofing, as long as Dale and his dad are at the helm, you won’t be disappointed.

Dale and his crew were extraordinary to work with. They were all pleasant and competent and EXTREMELY hardworking. Dale explained the different kinds of shingles and the different costs, he explained the roof vents needed, he leveled the gutters for best drainage, he cleaned up meticulously, he knew what the codes were and made sure they were followed, and he had excellent follow up, communication, and punctuality. I don’t know what more anyone could have done at such a fair and reasonable price. He did extra little things too like cleaning stains on the chimney and asking us what time was acceptable to start working in the morning. Great experience.

I help my uncle manage a series of rental properties. We had one property in particular that took more time to clean than any of our others. They completed two roofs on two different properties. One he had to coordinate with a mason to complete job and not run into a weather situation. Quality job and done timely. Smart Roofing put a new roof on my house in July of 2018. Dale spent many hours with me prior to the project going over and explaining different options that were available. My roof required a full plywood redeck because of poor spacing of the 1x4's underneath the original roof. In addition, my roof had two layers of old shingles.The crew was very professional and hard working even in very hot conditions outside. They finished the whole job in two days. The new roof makes the entire house look so much better than before.We had a minor issue after the roof project relating to one of the gutters that was reused that was in good shape. Dale and crew were quick to follow up with a solution.Personally, I find great satisfaction in using a local family owned business without huge overhead costs. They charge a fair price but I'm speaking with the owners of the company directly. The other 3 roofing companies I got quotes from didn't offer that type of personal service and follow up. We highly recommend Smart Roofing. I hope I never see them again!

We couldn't be more pleased with Smart Roofing. Excellent quality product, friendly and thorough staff that took the time to explain every detail to us. Our new roof is beautiful and makes our 23 year old house look like brand-new again. They replaced a rain gutter that was dented by a tree falling on it and upon inspection, they found that none of our rain gutters were pitched when our house was built. They took the time to correct that on all the rain gutters. The clean-up was excellent. I would recommend Smart Roofing to anyone looking to get a quality roof. We will be getting Gutter Guards from them this Spring.

They cleaned up after themselves as well! Since it has been raining practically since the job has been done we are Really happy we had the new flat roof and gutters installed. Looks terrific, no leaks and the gutter (and rain barrel) work wonderfully. Would highly recommend. It is difficult to find honest hard working contractors but this company was a good find.
