I called Smart roofing about a bad chimney flashing. They came out to fix it right away and did a great job. Smart roofing was referred to us from a couple of different neighbors just in the knick of time.We were ready to go with a competitor and started to question their unprofessional and scam like ways.Dale and his team came to the rescue and had the entire 47 years (2 layers) of roofing removed and replaced in one day, as well as the old and new gutters, too.Clean up was perfect.I could not imagine any other company to recommend more highly.

I decided to get a quote from Dale at Smart Roofing because his uncle installed a high quality roof for my family many years ago. Of the three quotes I received, I decided to have Smart Roofing replace my shingles since Dale was the only contractor who took the time to personally inspect my roof and attic. Dale discovered problems with my roof that I was unaware of. Although he was slightly more expensive, I felt the additional cost was justified since Dale was very knowledgeable about shingle replacement, thoroughly explaining the methods he uses and why, he found the problems and offered cost effective solutions for the problems I was unaware of. Dale recommended that I install Certainteed Northgate class 4 shingles which qualifies me for a $90.00 yearly deduction in the cost of my homeowner's insurance. Dale and his crew arrived on time. He took the time to answer my questions during the removable and installation process. Dale and his crew completed my house and shed roof replacement in one day. His crew did an excellent job cleaning up. I highly recommend Dale and his company.

My experience with Smart Roofing was fantastic. From the salesman, Tom that spent a lot of time with me, to the owner Dale, who's professionalism and attention to detail was amazing. Of course not to forget the crew that was incredible at their craft. Our property is a side-by-side, so essentially it was 2 roofs... and it really only took a day to do.The ENTIRE experience was wonderful, the price was right, and I would highly recommend them.

Smart roofing did our roof in 2003. We had a great experience then. Fast forward to 2024. We had to have some gutter repair work done. The response was quick and courteous. The repair was done superbly. Dale even inspected the roof from 2003 and tighten up some screws left by an old Direct TV dish. I highly recommend this company!! Superior service.

We had storm damage due to snow. These guys were quick to answer during a busy time. Not only were they quick and responsive they were so knowledgeable in their craft. Consulted us with the work that needed to be done and worked with our insurance company to get the money we needed to make all the repairs. They were very professional to work with day of and were efficient when getting the job done. It’s good to know there are honest crafts and tradesmen out there who take pride in their work. I’d recommend working with them to anyone.

I couldn't be more pleased with the service from Dale Smart. I called him bcs we developed a leak in the roof due to ice damning in this WI weather. He responded to my call same day, then came out in the evening to assess situation and had advice for us on how to handle the problem. Dale was kind and extremely patient with our concern, giving us time to answer all of our questions. He then came out the next day with his crew to remove snow off the roof, giving the problem area special attention. He will be back once snow is gone to fix the leak. We could not be more pleased with the care and expertise with which he handled the problem.

Recently had a roof replacement. Dale and his team were great! He is friendly, knowledgeable, and explained the entire process. Not pushy at all and price was very reasonable. The proposal was very thorough and the follow through was beyond expectation. Great communication and crew supervision and thus, the crew was prompt, courteous and efficient. Dale solved a drainage issue by extending the second floor downspout into the gutter.They also installed Smart Guard gutter covers to keep drainage clean and free.From over all value to final cleanup every aspect of this hire was perfect!

We are extremely pleased with the Smart Roofing Company. Tom and Dale were professional, punctual, communicative, highly skilled and attentive to detail. Dale and his team tore off two layers of shingles and installed a new roof including a special sheet to prevent water damage due to ice build up. They installed roof vents, new gutters, gutter guards and chimney flashing.They did a great job color coordinating trim and flashing. Workmanship was excellent.They came the day before installation to stage their equipment so they could complete our project in one day including clean up.Thank you Tom, Dale and Installers. Dale and his crew did an excellent job in replacing our roof. Affordable, very efficient and conscientious about clean up. It was done in one day and the roof looks fabulous. I definitely recommend Smart Roofing.My only suggestion is to make sure to get whatever receipts and/or paperwork you need before they leave. I really needed an invoice for my home owners insurance, which I was assured I would be emailed. However, I have still not received one after a couple weeks, even after emailing a reminder about it. Luckily was able to work it out with insurance to prove work was completed. It worked out in the end so I don't hold it against them. I know they are crazy busy!

Above and beyond! Highly recommend. I could not be more pleased with the work the Smart Roofing team did in replacing the roof and installing leaf guards on my Milwaukee bungalow! It wasn’t an easy job, but they did a wonderful job and it looks great! The owner Dale was easy to work, kept me informed and did not cut corners. Cleanup was perfect. Smart Roofing is the best company you can find in regards to roofing ! They fixed my attic ventilation issue. I've met with numerous contractors before them and they only wanted to sell unnecessary things and take all your savings! Dale is very honest, knowledgeable and caring to his customers. He surveyed, analyzed and explained the issue profoundly. He told me the options but directed me to the most cost effective way to solve the problem without breaking the bank. Communication and scheduling with them was very easy. Dale even did an extra mile of of going to a paint store to get me my exterior paint made without charging me. Although the other roofing contractors were slightly less expensive, we were willing to pay extra because Dale Smart would work with his customers. It was definitely worth the investment. We had many shingles throughout the roof that had blown off during high winds. Dale came out to inspect and give an estimate on the roof. Following the inspection, he offered to caulk all the exposed nail holes in the cold of winter without charge although we didn't sign a contract with him yet. That is customer service! In addition, he worked with our insurance to try to get the best reimbursement. Most importantly, Dale worked tirelessly with his crew on the job throughout the entire roof replacement to get the job done on time. Dale and his crew are so incredibly hardworking that they worked on the weekend and in unexpected rain. During the entire process, Dale was in constant communication with us, was very professional, came everyday on time, and worked with us to make everything right. At the end of the job, Dale even took the time to seal some leaky gutters, caulked exposed areas of wood on the soffit, and adjusted a few gutters at no additional cost. Our new roof looks amazing and we highly recommend Smart Roofing!

Smart roofing inspected our roof 5 years ago after we had a leak. They patched it up for a minimal charge and we haven't had issues since.They made another recent visit to patch us up because of wind damage. They will be replacing the roof next spring.They treated us very well and are pleasant to work with.

Called for roof repair and Dale was out the next morning. Dale assessed the problem and repaired it prior to any explanation of what the issue was. Afterwards Dale explained the issue and resolution and told me that there would be no payment needed for this repair. It is nice to call a company and they send one of their employees rather then a subcontractor.I was considering a metal roof in the future or in lieu of repairing my aphalt roof after learning some of the downsides from Dale I will be buying a Asphalt Roof when I need to. Dale to his credit rather then trying to up sell me on a roof now, convinced me to repair this one and get a couple more years from it. He gave me a great price on the repairs much less (1/5) then another roofers quote. Highly recommend Smart Roofing

Dale and his crew are incredibly responsive. We had a single raised shingle from a roof installed in 2001, and they responded immediately to address that issue and as well as another minor problem they noticed. I am totally pleased with their work and I will definitely contact Smart Roofing when I need a new roof.

Working with Smart Roofing was a great experience from start to finish. Having initially solicited site visits and estimates from several different companies, we ultimately went with Smart Roofing based on the favorable price(although not the very cheapest), quality of inspection thoroughness and knowledge, local history, follow-up through the estimate process, and trust they built with us on the quality and reputation they would bring to our project. We were not disappointed with our decision, and both Tom and Dale impressed us at every turn.All of our questions prior to accepting the estimate were answered thoroughly and their advice on options for the scope of work were honest and clear. The work itself actually started earlier than initially estimated, and everyone working on site appeared very competent, paying attention to the quality of work as well as the impact on the rest of the house and yard.We were very happy with the professionalism of the companies representatives, the quality of work, and most importantly, the end result. Dale Jr. came out right away to help us after we found water leaking into our kitchen from the roof. Found out it was the bracket holding the telephone and electric wires pulling out from the roof and the hole where the mount goes was the little hole where water was leaking in after a storm. He pounded it back in and caulked it up for us and surveyed our entire roof and gave us estimates and valuable information on what we can do going forward to repair and get a new roof in the future. He was incredibly professional, fast, efficient, kind and fun to work with and will definitely be working with him and his company with all of our roofing needs in the future!

Above all expectations. Great company to deal with. Very quick to respond - like same day. A fair market quote provided, with explanations of potentail add-ons as the old roof was to be torn off, and could be anticipating damage since we had leakage. Were put on the schedule for work to be completed within 6 weeks of order. They came 5 days later as an opening was available. A fantastic, hard working, polite and respectful crew, got everything completed and cleaned up in 2 and a half days. And that included a severe rain/hail storm, but everything was secured and nothing damaged. Dale Jr you are the best and you show how much you care for your working crew. Tom did a great job presenting everything to us, and follow up. You should be proud of your family company. We'll be in touch.

We had a sewer vent pipe seal leak during recent rain storms. Tried several companies around here and I guess the job was too small as I did not get one single return call. Smart roofing just completed two jobs on my commercial properties. They installed asphalt roof on apartment and did a rubber roofrepair on the commercial property. He beat the winter in December and did a good job and noticed some other items that needed to be addressed that if we're not addressed would be a issue. I have used smart roofing now at least 4 times, and every time has been good experience.

Dale and crew are awesome. They fixed about forty years of problems. I have a shallow pitched roof and it had very poor ventilation, to the point there was a haze in the attic. Now the attic is dry and breathing great. Past owners must have had issues but the contractor they hired didn’t fix a thing, they only got new shingles. I highly recommend Smart roofing. Great price, excellent workmanship, on time and clean.

I have used Smart Roofing for roof replacement and attic insulation. Work was done quickly and with great care. These are people who care about their customers and will go out of their way to answer all questions before they start a job. Never a hard sell! I called last winter with concerns about ice buildup on the roof. Dale came over within the hour. He cheerfully inspected the entire roof and removed some chunks of ice from the gutter. Temp was around 10°.

i would recommend Smart Roofers to anyone looking to replace their roof and/or gutters. They are very reasonable and efficient. The two day project included 2 layer removal of the roof on both house and detached garage, removal of old gutters and replacement of new roof and gutters on both. The employees were very polite and professional. They were very efficient in cleaning and removing any debris that was involved with their work on the property. I highly recommend them!!!

I am a new homeowner and just found out there was a leak in my roof. Called Dale Jr., he came out and did a thorough inspection and gave me a great quote. He is professional and beyond personable. He communicated throughout the whole process and made everything that much easier for a first time home owner. Once I settled on a shingle color, he told me the approximate time they were going to start and I was shocked as to how quick they are compared to other estimates. He came over a day early, finished my garage and then finished my house the day after. They did an amazing job and the roof looks amazing. He will work with you to make sure that all little details (chimney knockdown, vent removal/installations, gutter pitch) are perfect and what you want! He was on the job each day and his crew was great too! They did a great job cleaning up the site completely. I would highly recommend you give Smart Roofing a call for your roofing needs, you wont be disappointed! Called at 3pm to schedule someone to come out to do a minor roof repair. Dale came out on his way home to do the repair the same day. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of roofing or repairs. Quality people, and insanely fast response time.

I can’t say enough about the amazing experience I had working with Smart Roofing. I had Dale look at my roof for a small leak in February, and by the end of March I had a whole new roof. Smart Roofing was professional, timely, and honest when it came to pricing and did a phenomenal job. I am grateful for their high quality work and can breathe easier knowing my roof is well installed.

Years ago I had Smart give me a quote for a metal roof on our previous residence. Dale was not quick to sell me anything and gave me an honest time frame for the life of that existing roof. I had him come back a couple months later to patch some flashing- quick, inexpensive, and fixed the minor leaking problem we had.Fast forward to our new house; we had some issues with our deck roof and the garage was in need of a new roof. I was happy enough with Smart to call them before anyone else.Dale ran through some options with us and we opted for metal on the deck and garage. Once work started, everything was finished within a couple of days. Deck roof originally had no gutters, and had been sagging in one spot, causing water to pool up and rot the board underneath. Now we have functioning gutters, rotted decking is replaced, and Dale was even able to replace a bowed support beam at the front of the deck, cutting it to match the style of the old one. Garage roof and gutters no problem! And everything looks great!Smart is a small, friendly, diligent team of roofers and I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for roofing repair/installation, and especially for metal roofing.

Dale was extremely responsive and was able to service my roof the same day I called him. We had some damage from the ice and they were able to work quickly to repair it. They were very reasonably priced and the work is high quality. Dale was also able to help give advice on a separate roofing issue I had. I would use them again in the future and would recommend to anyone who needs roof repair or replacement.

Dale was very helpful in removing an ice dam on our roof and doing some repairs. Pricing was great and he sent photos of the work done and explained everything so I felt confident the job was done to a high standard.
